American Idol concert review
I'm not even sure if words can describe how great today has been. Alex came over last night and we watched some 3rd Rock From The Sun and Fievel Goes West. (I know we are super cool that way.) We finally went to sleep at like, 3 in the morning. Due to excitement I woke up at 8 and couldn't get back to sleep. So I played around online for a bit and got ready to go. We left at 10:15 to go to Alex's to feed her pets and then we left for the Rose Garden around 10:30. We got there about 11:00 and went to where the buses come in. There were about 7 people already there but that was cool. After about 10 minutes, Alex and I went to Lloyd center to get food since it was going to be a long wait. We walked around there for a bit and when we got back the crowd had grown. But not by much. Probably 5-10 more people. We made friends with some other Blakergirls and we all stayed at the gate. We watched all the buses come in and the excitement built so much I had to pee. Lol. These girls, Alex and I were on the perfect side of the fence where we could move around it to get pictures. Lol. Anyways...after about 30 minutes of waiting we all started screaming. Chris Sligh, Phil and CHRIS RICHARDSON were walking towards us. Chris Sligh was really funny. He liked Alex's Emery shirt. Lol. Phil talked to my mom on the phone and told her to come to the show. Yes, I
called my mother and made her talk to Phil. Lol. He took my phone and walked away talking to her. It was cute. And Chris told me he loved Blakergirls. And I think I almost cried when I was next to him. He is about 1000x hotter in person than he is on the TV and he was soooo freaking sweet. (Yes, I have pics of me and Alex with everyone to prove I'm not bsing you. Lol.) And the
only thing I could think of to say to him was where we were sitting (he asked) and that he was Alex's favorite. Jordin came out next and she wasn't as tall as I thought she would be but she was really nice. She was like "did everyone get a picture?" before she left. Then Melinda came out and she really was genuinely nice. I felt bad for dissing on her for so long. Lol. Then Sanjaya came out. He had two huge fans waiting for him and he was so sweet to them. He signed the shirts they'd made. He was also really shy. When I asked him for a picture he was like "yes" really quietly. And he was also supersweet. I didn't expect him to be so quiet. Lol. (Haley, Gina and Lakisha never came out because they were already in hair and makeup) So we have a crowd of Blakergirls and Blake is no where to be seen. So we're asking the security where he is and she tells us 'I don't know. He's somewhere in Portland..." Apparently, he just left the motel with one of his friends and went around downtown. And he had a press conferance at 3 and we found this out at around 2:30. So we're all freaking out because he's not here and he has to be gone in a short while. And then, this car pulls up and this beautifulness steps out. And thus the screams start...*not just from me btw* And he goes into the building and the security's like "They probably won't let him come back out..." and yet, amazingly..., about 1 minute later, he's walking towards us. And the guard is like to Blake "you can only sign, you don't have time for pictures with everyone." He kind of just rolled his eyes and said "I have a half hour. That's plenty time." And proceeds to ignore the guard. And my eyes are tearing up and my nerves are making my entire body shake...literally. We're the first people he comes to and I'm trying to compose myself (and failing badly) And he finally gets to me and I'm so nervous I can barely speak. But I do manage a picture, autograph and an extra hug. =P He is amazing. They all are. But he is just....I love him. <33333333
After that beautiful event which has now made my life one step closer to being fully complete (if only I could make out with Chris and marry Blake and have a baby with William I would be fine)JK, we went to Lloyd center and read manga. I'm surprised I could even hold a book after that. Lol. And once we each finished a manga, we went back to the Rose Garden. My mom was there and my dad was pissed. And omgz, because she talked to Phil. HOW DARE SHE!!! And
so she was trying to sell my extra tickets, even though she wanted to go. What ended up happening: no one wanted them so she took them and went herself. Mainly because Phil told her too. Lol. She ended up calling Natalie and she went to the show also so my mom wasn't alone. But I am out $150...
It was so nice to not have to run to our seats. And OMG!! Our "7th" row tickets, were really second row due to how the stage went out...so we were smack in the middle of the stage in the second row. I thought I was seriously going to cry. It was so beautiful. After what didn't actually feel like forever, maybe because we got TV Guides to read and we went out of our seats (and got them back...I forgot how nice that feels) the show started.
They started off with Blake going onstage in a disguise. We all still knew it was him though. They cannot trick a Blakergirl. =P Then they went into Let's Get It Started but it wasn't everyone. It was: Haley, Chris S, Gina, Chris R, Phil and Sanjaya. Then Melinda and Lakisha came out and played Stop In The Name of Love and Baby Love. Then Chris came out while they were singing Heard It Through The Grapevine and Sanjaya came out for Proud Mary. Somehow...Alex and I didn't hate this...Haha. Phil sang Blaze Of Glory (which was freaking AMAZING!!!) and Gina And Chris S. sang Thnks Fr Th Mrmrs which I had so much fun laughing at. Haley's solo was the first song I didn't really know that well and it was When God Fearing Women Get The Blues which is a country song by Martina McBride so yeah...but it was really good. Sanjaya sang a Michael Jackson song which I somehow knew. He grabbed his crotch and did some creepy thrusts a lot and then *in some awesomeness* moonwalked across the stage. Chris Sligh sang Mute Math's Typical (while wearing a Mute Math shirt no less) and it made me sooooo happy. He finally got to sing the second half of the song unlike on the show. Lakisha, Haley and Gina sang Lady Marmalade and afterwards Phil, Chris S. and Sanjaya sang part of I Want It That Way, which I recorded...and then, in one of the more hotter moments, Chris R. and Jordin played guitars and sang What Hurts The Most. (My fav Rascal Flatts song btw) and I recorded it until my camera memory bitchingly ran out. Then I deleted my William vid *gasp* and some other pics and made myself more room. While I was fiddiling around with my stupid camera, Jordin and Melinda sang Everlasting Love. Which I kind of know. And then, my heart stopped. For Blake came out. And made out with me...no? FINE!!! He sang Time Of The Season (which was hot) She Will Be Loved (with his loop pedals...which was even hotter and I recorded the beginning) and You Give Love A Bad Name (which was hotter yet...) I am suprised I didn't just pass out from the hotness. Although I think I started to tear up again. Why can he do this to me and not William???
Then there was an intermission where Alex and I proceeded to squeal about things. Mostly about Chris and Blake and how sweet and beautiful and lovely and nice and sincere and pretty and funny and cute and talented they are.
Finally, the show started up again. It began with Phil and the girls (minus Jordin) singing American The Beautiful. I loved it and I know my mom loved it. Then all the guys came out with their instruments. Blake on guitar (sexy), Chris R on drums (HOT!), Chris S on bass (sweet) Phil on keyboards (awesome) and Sanjaya on guitar and tambourine (not so hot but William plays a tambourine so I have nothing bad to say). They sang Crazy, which reminded me of William except Blake sang it hotter. And during his hahaha, I wanted to jump him. Then they went into Hey Jude which was so beautiful...And then, when it was done, I knew Blake was the hottest thing on this planet. *forgive me William, for I have cheated. Gina came out and sang Who Knew which I knew most of. I jsut downloaded it so it was already stuck in my head a little. Lol. And she rocked it majorly. And then, the part of the show Alex and I had been waiting for...Blake and Chris's duet. To which I was confused on which way to look. They did Ain't No Sunshine, Virtual Insanity and Geek In The Pink. Then at the end they had a beatboxing contest. And it may have been the most wonderful thing I've ever seen in my entire life. And it was funny. <3 Then they went away and my soul cried for them to come back. And Lakisha sang I Will Always Love You, which I actually knew. And it was GOOD!!! And then Chris R sang This Love and I had a few heartattacks. Mainly when he looked and pointed and Alex and I. And we started giggling and getting fangirlish... Phil and Gina did a duet of a song I knew somehow. It was country so I'm guessing it was on a stupid station my dad listens to. Haley, Chris R and Sanjaya sang Life Is A Highway and it was pretty. I mean...great. Melinda sang You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman which was pretty good. I know, I know. Shut it. Gina, Haley, Lakisha and Melinda sang Ain't No Other Man which was cool. Then Jordin came out to do her mini-set. She started off with I Who Have Nothing, which was sooooo sooooo soooo good. Then she went into Heartbreaker, which was also really really good. She played an acoustic song after that. I believe it was Jewel's You Were Meant For Me. Then A Broken Wing which was as good live as it is her studio version and then Livin' On A Prayer, which was also great. And the other 9 idols came out at the end.
The encore went Jordin singing This Is My Now (ick but nevertheless good live) and everyone else resinging parts of their solos and then all of them finishing This Is My Now. And it was beautiful.
The best part of the night was most def the Cake song and actually getting to touch/talk to them. My God...this will live on forever. I am in such a great mood. After the show I bought a Tour book and took a shower and bam, went to sleep to dream about all this. Which I did. When Tai wasn't waking me up by chewing on my ear. Which is her new favorite thing to do. And then my dream went from Blake to Neil from SYTYCD. Lol. I think I'm going to go download some vids from YT and put them on my iPod to watch. Hehehe. =D
