i've never thought about how my music taste developed until a few weeks ago when i was thinking of all the bands that i listen that were recommended to me by a friend. in fact, i'd say i've discovered on my own 50% of the music i listen to. the rest is someone else's fault. and it's really easy to figure out which bands came from who, because i can ( Read more... )

Yeah, I can trace a lot of my musical direction, if only like two actual bands, to Linda, and I don't think she ever knew, which is lame.

RUSH. Believe it or not, I discovered them in like late seventh grade, when my sister's now-ex-fiance Mike, who turned out to be a psycho asshole, had one of their albums.

Now, I have at least thirteen Rush albums. It's funny how things work out.

I think I got Elliot Smith from you.

i still listen to elliot smith. you gave me a mix of his in like, ninth or tenth grade and i still have him on my ipod
