[NAME:] Desirée DeLite
[AGE:] 24
[GENDER:] female
[STATUS:] married to Ron
[SEXUALITY:] straight
[FRIENDS:]
Ron DeLite: Her husband, whom she is absolutely in love with. She always refers to him as "Ronnie." At first one might think they don't look like a good match, but she knows that underneath his timid exterior is someone who is both exciting and dependable. She knows through experience that if she's ever in danger, Ronnie will do what he can to protect her. She has found that living with Ron means that every day is filled with thrills and excitement; and as a woman who can't stand inactivity and boredom, she firmly believes Ron is the best husband she could ask for (especially since he buys her lots of things!). She loves him deeply and will go to great lengths to protect him if he's ever in trouble.
Phoenix Wright: "Nicky boy". She was right to put her trust in him; he saved her Ronnie from first a grand larceny charge and then a murder charge! She thought his lawyer occupation was fasincating, convinced that it was a career full of good thrills. She even felt a bit jealous of him. If she met him now, without his lawyer badge, she probably wouldn't be nearly as interested in him anymore... though her gratitude is still strong.
Larry Butz: He's not bad. He was nice enough to come all the way over to return Ron's lost wallet. But the only thing she really remembers about him are his stale pick-up lines.
[ENEMIES:]
Luke Atmey: She sees him as a coward and a sneaky criminal, the embodiment of everything she hates in a man. His actions nearly took her Ronnie away from her forever, and the mere thought of him leaves a bad taste in her mouth. She'll never forgive him.
[OCCUPATION:] She and Ronnie currently work together for a little in-home business right out of their apartment (on the 3rd floor of Palazzo Pelpepe) called "Mask*DeMasque Consulting", advising police in how to capture thieves, but at the same time selling criminal plans to said thieves for large amounts of money! Desirée feels that advising the police is an honorable move that completely balances out any wrongdoing by selling the plans, which leaves it as a source of excitement and lots of spending money!
[HOBBIES:] Riding her motorcycle (a gift from Ronnie!) at full throttle, especially during the middle of the night. Doing cute clichéd romantic things with Ronnie like fancy dinners and long walks on the beach. Shopping (she spends money like it's water).
[LIKES:] Fast motorcycles. Excitement (she can't stand living a life with no action), money, shopping (she's a shopaholic, and her apartment is a bit cluttered with both her purchases and Ron's books and equipment).
[DISLIKES:] Criminals (just the sneaky type), cowardly men, people who aren't nice to her Ronnie, people who are boring (if something about them doesn't interest her, she tends to mostly ignore them. This especially holds true for other women... if something about them doesn't catch her attention, then she barely looks at them).
[STRENGTHS:] She's a skilled motorcycle rider (she has yet to crash and kill herself despite her reckless nightly speeding), she's very brave (only breaking down when completely backed into a corner) and almost always get what she wants with her charming smile alone.
[WEAKNESSES:] Sometimes Desirée's headstrong nature gets her into danger or trouble. Constantly letting strangers into her apartment might not be the wisest idea, either. Her strong trust in people has yet to truly let her down, but it could one day.
[APPEARANCE:] She rides her motorcycle so often that she just spends most of her time wearing her bright red fur-trimmed leather riding suit. She also has a pair of riding goggles she keeps with her, pushed back to the top of her head when not in use. The only nonfunctional thing she wears are a pair of large earrings in the shape of motorcycle wheels (they matched her motorcycle, so she had to have them). She doesn't bother with fixing her make-up or hair... spending time applying make-up is boring and cuts into her riding time, and any hair style she attempts would just be ruined by the wind, anyways. She's still gorgeous enough on her own to bring a blush to any man's face with her winning smile.
[PERSONALITY:] She has a lot of faith in people, and as long as they're not threatening herself or someone she loves, she believes in them and is very encouraging. She's friendly and outgoing; constantly smiling. Her cheerfulness only falters when it looks like things are taking a turn for the worse for herself or Ronnie, or when talking about someone she despises. However, she tends to recover quickly, and goes back to smiling once she puts her trust back into the belief that everything will be fine in the end (and it usually is). She likes to give cute nicknames to men she likes. She's headstrong, pleasant, confident, trusting, opinionated, and easily impressed by chivalry. Despite her up-front toughness and bravery, deep down she just wants an honorable man who will always be there for her and protect her.
[BACKGROUND:] One day while Desirée was at work, two robbers broke in. Desirée, not being the type to just hide, immediately fought the two intruders. However, they were armed with large knives, and managed to subdue her and take her hostage. At that point, completely powerless, she began to get frightened, and even started to cry. But then, the security guard on duty, a slight man who hadn't interested her at all previously and she had mostly ignored until that moment, jumped into action, screaming and flailing at the robbers! He risked his life for her, all by himself! He was crying and shaking, but the outburst had successfully scared off the two men. Deeply impressed by his heroism, Desirée immediately fell in love.
Not long after they started to date, Desirée easily decided he would be the right man to spend her life with, and they were married. However, she had unconsciously been putting a lot of pressure on her new husband. She continually made statements on what she expected from a man, and Ronnie feared he'd lose her if he didn't keep up with her wants, especially when it came to her insatiable spending. He began selling company information to try to earn extra money to keep up with her shopping needs, but he was quickly discovered and fired. As a last resort, he delved into grand larceny, under the guise of Mask*DeMasque. However, he wasn't very good, and was discovered by Atmey. Atmey began blackmailing Ron, giving Ron detailed and effective plans for stealing more valuables for him, and providing a small percentage of cash from selling the items in return. That cash from the blackmailer was enough to satisfy Dessie, and so Ron was happy because she was happy.
Ron had been successfully keeping all this a secret from Desirée (if she wasn't so trusting she probably would have seen through it long ago), but that all began to change when seemingly out of nowhere he began insisting almost deliriously that he was Mask*DeMasque, and turned himself in to the police. Desirée didn't know what to do. She believed her husband was having serious delusions brought on by being a Mask*DeMasque fanboy. She heard about Maya on TV and that she was doing "shady training" at a law office. This caught her interests, and she met the lawyer; then she wrote a (very pink) letter to Ronnie, convincing him to "ask this guy to be your lawyer!". She swiftly put her faith into "Nicky boy's" skills to save Ronnie from prison. And he did; then did it again when a murder charge was brought down on him. During the two trials, Desirée continued to encourage both her husband and Phoenix, and even jumped in to help on her own (by swiping the urn from Atmey's office). She felt terrible when it turned out that by helping clear Ron from being charged with Mask*DeMasque's heists, Ron lost the alibi he was trying to construct for a murder, but she soon regained her confidence and trusted Phoenix to make things right for Ron in the end, which he did.
Ron feared he would lose Dessie once she found out he was a thief. But if anything, it made her love him more. He did it in a "chivalrous" way (leaving calling cards first), so she doesn't categorize his actions with those of "cowardly and sneaky men". She thinks the honorable thief business sounded very exciting and only wishes Ron told her sooner so that she could have supported him better.
They are still together and still very happily married, working together at Mask*DeMasque Consulting.
