Story is told in form of song, and turns out to be the ultimate annoying song which this guy winds up playing in the head for the rest of his life.

Actually that reminds me too much of "The Chicken Song," which goes in part:
Now you’ve heard it once / your brain will spring a leak / And though you hate this song / you’ll be humming it for weeks
