You know you live in the middle of the woods when someone calls you at work to tell you that you have to stay inside, there are cougars (the animal :P) roaming around outside.

What the fuck!? There are no cougars in Nova Scotia!! But if there ARE, oh man I'm scared. Cougars will like, stalk and hunt people instead of avoiding them. And then eat you and kill you. True story.

LOL I had someone a message board say that once she got a similar phonecall... except in her case it was Elk. (She lives in Alaska.) So amusing.

At my work we just have a black bear who comes around occasionally.
