Good News about Grad School

So I spent Thursday through Saturday in Chapel Hill, NC interviewing for the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering in their School of public health and touring the town. Hey! Glad to hear things are progressing!

Also, think STIMULUS PACKAGE! There are plenty of one to two-year project funding grants going around. Maybe talk to your potential advisor at each school about their ideas? You may have to encapsulate the project to 1-2 years, then find additional funding for anything beyond that.

good idea, that is something to consider. Also the UNC prof seemed really happy when I said I was willing to work on getting my own funding if needed. I will give the NIH and NSF grants a closer look.

Awesome! I hope you find lots of success in getting the programs you want / funding you need.

On a slightly related note, your writing has gotten really good. I think even Matt the grammar nazi would be impressed.
