every year i am just more and more amazed and saddenned at how hard my mother tries to surprise me at christmas but how little she really seems to know me. the holidays are such an awful time of year. i like the lights though. nothing is personal anymore; it's all just mass produced. giftcards can fix everything!

i hope you're having a lot of fun this winter break though. i'm going to oregon until school starts, but if i wasn't, i'd try making plans to hang out or something.
