Hito? I know that name! I spoke with him a while ago. He said he is looking for some people, and I promised I would keep an eye out for him.

He is going to be so happy you're here!

[And now Aara has a bit more hope that someone she knows will appear--or something.]

[Asuka pulls a face at the book when the only response comes in text form. Laaaaame. But then he actually -reads- the message.]

So he's here, then. That's good.

[She might be able to hear the grin in his voice.]

Any idea where I can find him?

[She's excited for him, on the edge of her seat and grinning widely, imagining how happy the two will be to be reunited.]

Yes! He is here.

[Then she hears his question, and all Aara's elation slowly dwindles away. She stares at her journal blankly, realizing she wasn't very good at this sort of thing after all.]

He's...

I don't know where he is.

I'm sorry! I can search for him! I can leave right now and tell him you're here. Or we could both search for him.

But he is here.

[Now Aara feels sad and disappointed in herself, curling up in a small ball on her chair as she waits uneasily for a response.]

[Whoa! He hadn't been expecting that sort of a reaction to his question. For a moment, Asuka's caught off-guard.]

Hey, it's all right. I didn't expect you to know where he was. Don't worry about it, okay?

I'll find him. I've run into him twice before now, on entirely different worlds--finding him here should be nothing compared to that.

It's not your fault you don't know where he is, nobody appointed you to be his caretaker.

[She can hardly believe it, but hey, she can't really forget that voice either.]

Hito's here. You might wish to find him, he is probably having a hard time adjusting.

[Another text response? Asuka can already tell this thing is going to drive him crazy. On a whim, he touches the response--hey, it's worked for the other things, right?

And -yessssss-, it's working here as well! WHOO-HOO, TEXT TO SPEECH. Asuka is so not even questioning this awesome turn of events.]

Do you know where he is? Kid's probably freaking out worse than he was back when I found him again.

And of course it's me! The one and only, right?

I don't know where his room is located, but he shouldn't be hard to find, especially since he was looking for you as well.

[Jael raises an eyebrow at her record, but hasn't quite realized this isn't Her Asuka.]

It's me, Jael. I thought the text would've been a giveaway.

[Asuka runs quickly through the people he's met, the names he remembers. Jael isn't one he recognizes.]

Sorry, I think you may have be confused with somebody else.

[Which is weird, because she guessed his name straight off and knew him by his voice, so...]

[When the response initially comes over the record, Asuka's not expecting it. The sound of such a young voice with such obvious sarcasm (and maybe a hint of hostility, he wonders?) takes him by surprise, and he actually laughs at it before going to respond.]

Yeah, unfinished business.

Sounds like you don't think much of that though, do you?
