Merry Christmas, Everybody!
Finally getting out of the airport this morning! Was up and at 'em at 5:45 AM after a couple of hours of fitful napping (the cot wasn't bad, it was just really cold). Portland Sacred Harp is offering a free singing school this Sunday, Sept. 27, at McMenamins' Kennedy School, to introduce the rudiments of shape note singing. I'm terribly interested in learning how to sing and it sounds really fun. Anyone want to go with me? The birds are leaving
I'll be out of town for a couple of weeks. I'm catching a flight in a few hours to Arkansas to visit my family, and then leaving Thurs, Sept 3 to the SF Bay area again to interview for a job (at NASA!!) the next day, then coming back on Sunday, Sept 6. I'm making a pizza tonight, with the fresh homegrown tomatoes the family I tutor for gave me. They're incredibly delicious. Anyone want to come over, hang out with me, and eat?
