Are you open to cross-gender votes? If it fits my personality, why not?
Would you be open to being voted as characters who are not in your age range? Would you prefer to be voted as a character who is within your age range? it doesn't matter c:
1. What are your three defining positive traits? Explain how you exhibit each trait in everyday life. I would say that they are:
1. my lightheartedness / cheer. I'm a very jolly person. I love making people smile, especially if they weren't before I walked into the room. I've actually made a few very good friendships just by deciding to cheer up the other person's life, sending them presents and what have you.
2. my self-awareness. I know exactly who am, where my limits are. I know how to write me and draw me and put my feelings out there just as they are inside. I understand that everyone has their own flavour, and I know that mine is those little kiss-shaped, creamy mints that come in pastel colors and have the tiny white, spherical sprinkles at the bottom. The name escapes me.
3. my loyalty. Once I've bonded with a person they're a piece of me forever. I'd do anything for the people that I love.
2. What are your three defining negative traits? Explain how you exhibit each trait in everyday life.
1. my idealism. I've got that ''this-is-how-life-is-supposed-to-be-and-I'm-not-going-to-compromise" thing. I fail the test instead of cheating. I trust people too quickly, because I believe that everyone else is like me. Yes, I've been hurt before. No, I will not change. It's just not possible, because this is me.
2. my escapism. I ignore the bad bits. When I was little my mom got my hearing checked because I never answered her when she was halfway across the house and yelled for me to take a bath, do chores, etc. The doctor said I had 'selective hearing.' I only heard what I wanted to. I'm still like that, but in a deeper way. Like, I don't remember bad things that happened to me a long time ago (I have no memory of my paren'ts divorce, the six months I spent in my severly bipolar father's care, and the violence involved in both events). I just sweep bad stuff under the carpet.
3. my procrastination. Yes, I avoid things I don't want to do. Yes, whatever I'm working on might be better if I start earlier, but I've got more pressing things to do, like read.
3. If you were studying in Spence, which would be your favorite place? (By the lake, garden, church, caves, etc.) Why? Definately the caves, I love places of power, where you can connect to the overall emotion and channel it into a color or a word.
4. Would you have stolen the wine from the church in order to be in Felicity's group? Why or why not? If you weren't part of their crowd, what kind of clique would you be in, if any? Why? I would not have stolen the wine. I'm pretty sure I just would have decided to be Anne's personal sun and inspiration to stop cutting herself, and hope that everyone would love me without me having to do things that would make me get in trouble. Also, I probably would have hung out with the teachers a lot (especially LeFarge-- j'aime parler des autres langes).
5. If the Door of Light were to appear in front of you and you were to go into the realms, what would you choose to do in them? What would they be like for you? Oh, my dreams! What dreams I have! I would hop into my dirigible and see the realms from above. I would make myself a little thinner (it's those mints, I tell you), dance and sing, maybe get myself a sweet boy with dreamy eyes and an artist's soul (not a rush into romance though-- we'd have to start off as buds).
Sit on a tree-swing and make thunderstorms.
6. Do you think the power of the realms should be shared by the members of the Order? Why or why not? I think that each member should have to go through trails to prove their intentions, honor, loyalty, etc and then if they pass the tests they can share it.
7. If you were a woman living in the Victorian Era, what do you think your life would have been like based on how it is now, your ambitions, and place in society? It would really depend on what kind of family I was in. But, as this is SPENCE rate, I'll assume I'm in a rich family that wants me to become a lady. So, I would probably become a lady. But.... I'm irrepressable (for lack of a better word). I stand up for what I think is right (if I were a hippy, I'd be the loon putting a daisy down a cop's gun barrel)-- so I think my life would probably be most like Gemma's, where i just push the limits enough for it to be endearing.
8. If you were granted power by the realms and could use it inside and outside of the realms, what would you choose to do with it? Oh, and we're back to the dirigible. I would fly it around the world and tie to landmarks, stay in each country for like a month. I'm dead serious. Oh, I would also brighten people's days! Here hobo, have some dinner! Hey, let's go inspire this cute musician over here!
9. What is your favorite scene (A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels combined)? Why? I guess you mean in the whole series now? My favorite FAVORITE scene would have to be when Kartik turns into the tree of all souls/when Gemma dreams about him and then wakes up. It rips my heart out, and I love it.
10. What is your favorite quote from the books? Why? "It is morning, it is morning and there is so much to see." I get all choked up even thinking about it. One of the concepts in these books is light vs darkness and the balance of the two. After your heart has been torn out, Libba pulls out this line. It's like the sweetness and simplicity and perfect overwhelms you and you let out a sob-wracked sigh. Amazing line.
11. Pick one character among Gemma, Felicity, Ann, and Pippa. Tell us what she (the character you chose) could have done differently. (We are sure you did not agree with their every action.) Pippa, not crossing when she should have. Or, even eating the berries in the first place. Those two actions have always just niggled at me. She could have run away, in real life (maybe with Felicity?). She could have just crossed and not cause all that extra pain.
12. Which A Great and Terrible Beauty/Rebel Angels older character would you consider as a good role model? Why? I love the art teacher Miss Moore minus the Circe aspect. She gets the girls to think outside of the box. But I also, inexplicably love Brigid. And LeFarge.
13. Sort these words in order of appeal to you: beauty - glory - security - power - wealth - self-fulfillment - freedom. Explain your answer. 1. beauty. hokay, this is going to be a long one. It's not like, outside beauty that I value this much. It's not ''pretty.'' It's the beauty of the sea during a thunderstorm, of the perfect chord in an acoustic guitar. A baby's laugh. The fact that there everyone who looks up at the sky watches the same moon. That, mon ami, is beauty. 2. Self-fullfillment. Okay, this is more important than the other words on this list. Except for the idea above. 3. Freedom. Always good to be able to choose what you want from life. 4. Security. Yes, I don't like living on the streets. 5. Glory. Sounds fun. 6, Wealth. Things are okay, I guess. 7. Power. Ugh, I hate being in charge of things.
