Summer has thrown itself at us with its usual British Summer awkwardness. You know its coming, but you're never entirely sure when its OK to officially announce its existence. I prefer not to refer to the present as “summer” until all educational shackles are thrown down for the season and thus “summer” does not officially begin at all anywhere

Oh, summer. Such seductive treachery. Every summer in my life (except the last one, admittedly) I have had immense plans for stuff I will do, and when it comes around I find reasons not to do it. Last summer was different, I hope this one will be too.
