Yesterday, I upgraded my regular cell phone to an iPhone. The price on the cheapest iPhone just got slashed to $49, and I've been wanting an iPhone for over a year. While I can't speak for the iBook app, there is a free Kindle app for iPhone, and there are lots of free books available for Kindle that you could then read.
