Letter to the mutt

 Amos,

You are cute beyond description, sappy as any sappy tree, and you smell great since Ross gave you a bath.  But if you wake us up to "go potty" at 3AM but then just mess around and fake pee because you thought it'd be fun to take a stroll at that time of night ever again, I will wake YOU up at 3AM "just for funsies" everyday for a week.

Zara used to do something similar and try waking me up at 4 am to play, because it was fun. :(

You have my sympathies.

Oh my word, cats have GOT to be the worst offenders. Copernicus wasn't so bad, but Curry would do anything and everything to make as much noise as possible early in the AM. If I could manage to tune him out, I would. The only advantage of having a CAT wake you up, as opposed to having a DOG wake you up, is that I fully trusted that the cat would do his business in the litter box if need be. The dog... doesn't have a litter box.

Zara luckily doesn't talk at all, but she will sometimes (I think) pee on the carpet and then try burying it so I wake up. :(

My parent's dogs actually have a sort-of litter box to use, though they still make accidents! :(

Yeah, it wasn't so much that Curry would meow (although he would, a little), but he would knock things over in my room and even broke a few slats on some [EXPENSIVE] wooden blinds. What a little jerk...

Luckily, Amos is totally housebroken. The only times he has accidents are when we miss his cues/wait too long between potty breaks, which is next to never. We sure lucked out with this little guy! I just hope he doesn't make a habit of these early morning shenanigans.
