The Emergency Ward

Sep 08, 2009 01:18

It was a room on the first floor of the hotel. There were three beds in it, and the empty corner had a shelf with bottled medicines, clean bandages, operation kits and other medic items. All of the beds had curtains around them, for better privacy, and nightstands. The room was well lit with both windows and artificial light, but not to the point ( Read more... )

Romano settled down in his bed just fine, after being carried in such a idiotic and rather uncomfortable way he was more than happy to be able to lay down on something so comfortable and soft as a bed. “Dammit, it took you long enough to get us here!” the Italian shot a glare at the three who accompanied him. He wasn't being ungrateful, he just stated the truth.

Laying down on the bed Romano looked around, it seemed to be just them. ”No nurses or anything?” something in his stomach almost turned as his gaze went back to the three. No way did they have to take care of these wounds themselves, right?

That Prussian bastard couldn't be trusted with this, Denmark was no better to Romano either, and hell if he trusted that potato bastard.

((ooc; figured I'd post then :3))

"I dunno. We may be expected to heal eachother. Haha...I can heal you up, Romano." Gilbert growled and winked to Romano as he sat on a bed next to his wife's. His own budy was still hurting allover but not that he'd say anything about it, just being his tough and cool self...in his own mind.

"Besides...I hope they don't plan on us getting any healing from...who had the healing-power..oh..France? haha!" he laughed after that, hissing a bit after that since laughing made his body hurt again.

They had just arrived to the medics and really...it seemed a bit..off. Quiet, clean and almost like not even been much in use, the emergency wasd just seemed like it was waiting for something. Well..patients, but what was the use when there was no-one there to treat them. Hmph. Prussia was not pleased at this, but hell, he would prolly be the most awesome doctor if wanted. Bet it wasn't too hard. haha

A shiver quickly found its way down the Italian's spine at the first comment. With a huff he turned his back to the Prussian. “Shut up you bastard,” he muttered, a hint of embarrassment in his voice.

“....France....?!” oh HELL no! That perverted freak wasn't getting close to him, ever! Getting that man here was a bad idea considering his nature. Really, Romano was scared like hell because of a few things France had tried in the past. (his molestation of Spain wasn't helping his fear either...nor did Spain help now that he thought about it.)

It were just some burns and a few bruises and cuts. All that had to be done was cut the cuts if they really needed to take of this themselves. “It can't be to difficult, right?” he asked softly as he got more comfortable on the bed, arms now tightly around his pillow. “I mean, how bad can treating burns be?” Romano tried to sound tough and confident even if he felt far from that.

Gilbert just grinned when he heard Romano's protest to his first words. The grinning turned to chuckle when his spouse made a remark about France.

"Don't worry...I won't let the old geezer touch you." he grinned again. Damn that blast had been hard, even grinning hurt a bit. But pffft..he was over this. No-one this awesome would be resting just because of some...little...oke big..explotion. gh. He turned to Romano again as the other spoke.

"I can treat you! For sure! hah! You won't even remember you had ANY cuts when I'm done with you!" his eyes gleamed as he jumped off the bed he was sitting on.

'Screw comedy television, I should just follow these two around all day!' Denmark thought, laughing at the couple's antics as he got some gauze and burn ointment for himself. His patch job was messy and quick, but it would do.

Noticing they were still at it, Mathias elbowed Germany in the ribs and asked with a smirk "D'ya think we should get a camera or get out of here before he makes Romano explode again?"

"UNCLE~!!!!!!!!!"

Sealand came barreling down the hall and into the emergency ward with little intention of slowing down. However, he managed to skid to a halt in front of his beloved Denmark, face frantic and eyes watering.

"Uncle Mat, are you okay?! I heard the explosion! Are you alright?! You look terrible!! Can I do anything to help?!" Oh, this kid sure earned a medal for subtlety. Denmark probably didn't look half as bad as Sealand made him out to be.

"Ah, Sealand!" Denmark stood up when he heard the familiar voice screaming down the hallway.

"Heyhey, calm down! I'm fine, chill!" he laughed lightheartedly at the micronation's enthusiastic worry.

"U-uhuu," he sniffled. The micronation promptly decided to adhere himself to Denmark's side. He wiped his eyes with his bare arm. He was too proud to let the tears overtake him!

With his sea-blue eyes still glazed with fresh tears he looked to his dear uncle quizzically. "What happened out there? With the explosion, I mean..." He sniffled a bit, waiting for a response.

Ivan sneaked in the room, trying to see who was inside it from the door, while Sealand had already entered it without ceremony. He was still worried about the explosion they just had heard, but there was something odd about the situation. The more he looked around, the more he had that feeling. And it wasn't the oddness he was expecting at all, he suspected.

"Hey... what just happened in the beach?"

((haha, I finally got here XD))

(haha welcome Russia, to the madness XD)

Gilbert was fighting with the lid of the bottle when he realised Romano's sneaky move.
"HEEEYY! Get out of there! You're really not helping your own situation!" he yelped to under the bed where his wife had rolled to. Well this was stupid! As he tried to open the lid and get a peak of Romano under the low bed, he heard a familiar voice, even over Denmark's and Sealands loud voices.

Gilbert got up to sit again and squinted his eyes.
"Nothing happened, go away." he hissed to Russia while still trying to open the damn lid of the damn bottle of desinfectant. What the heck was that guy doing here. Grrrr.

((Thanks! XD))

Russia pouted at the warm welcome he received. Ignoring that, he entered the room. Taking a better look at it, he now could see better what was going on. He found Prussia fighting against a bottle, Denmark on a bed, with Sealand and Germany near him and finally he was sure there was someone else under another bed, who he guessed it would be Romano.

"You could come up with at least a better lie than "nothing", Prussia". He said to the other smiling. Russia was sure that what happened wasn't anything close to he imagined - and feared -, which was a relief. But on the other hand, he wasn't much thrilled to find out the truth. "So... what happened? I was worried..."

((pffffft, did I get the scene right? I'm afraid I didn't :'D))

(you got the scene down good ;D dun worry /o/)

Prussia's frown deepened even a bit more as he saw Russia starting to pout but still enter the room. Dammit, he didn't want that guy here...or he might experience Romano's power (on a different level though) and expload himself. Just being around this guy was..ghhh.

"That's as good explanation than anything, you jerk. We are fine, they are fine, the beach has a hole in it, whatever. There was a little power-incident and now you can leave thankyouverymuch." Gilbert got up as he didn't feel really comfortable sitting in the ground while Russia towered hig above him. Not that he really was near as tall as the man even when he stood up, but atleast he had somewhat more higher feeling. Still fiddling with the bottle he tried to look taller than he allready was and stared at Russia.

Denmark just responded with a self depreciating laugh. "Yeah, he does." he said with his usual smile. It faltered a little when Sealand asked his powers. Hell, if he himself didn't get all the science mumbo jumbo involved, how was he supposed to explain it to a kid? Well, he did get the gist of what he was doing, but mostly he knew how it worked through experience, and he really didn't have any words for it.

"It's ah," Mathias started, fumbling, "Well, my boss calls it 'kinetic absorption' and it's kind of like, if I get hit, I can take the, um," he waved his arms around a bit, trying to find the right words, "er, energy from that and use it to make myself stronger." Oh screw it. It'd be easier just to show him. "Just watch this." He walked over to the bed he'd heard Romano's whimper from, and effortlessly lifted up the bed high off the ground with one hand. He smiled back at Sealand, as if to say 'see?'

Oh shit oh shit oh shit! it wasn't as if the brown haired nation would get hurt (more so than he already was) but Russia still made him uncomfortable. He stared at the other's feet with wide-eyes when he saw him approach, and when he noticed the other man was kneeling down to get a look Romano instantly scooted backwards ( ... )

Russia followed with the eyes the bed as it was lifted up by Denmark, the surprise and curiosity evident in his face. For a moment he even forgot Romano, until the other snapped at the nation that was holding what was supposed to be his hide-out. Once he got his reply from Romano, Russia smiled and nodded, noticing the glare Romano sent to Prussia. "I see. That's good. But you shouldn't stay on the floor like that".

He then stood up, offering a hand to help the other to stand up as well. Interesting. But not more interesting than finding out more about the other nations powers right now. Or to find who was exactly the responsible for that explosion. Turning his eyes to Denmark, while still waiting for Romano, he didn't even bother to hide his curiosity. "Oh, so that's your power, Denmark... it's really cool~"

((pffft lame reply OTL))

With hesitation the Italian took Ivan's hand, hoisting himself up from the floor with a bit of difficulty. Damn, it still hurt. “.....thanks,” he muttered, hardly audible. Pouting he quickly pulled his hand back still very much afraid of the other nation. His fear was something he couldn't show tho. (but it was visible no matter how much he tried to hide it.)

His curiosity was taking over. Why was Russia here anyway? Giving the said nation a suspicious look he scooted backwards even more. He hoped Prussia, or anyone else for that matter, would ask, but chances seemed very small of that happening. No use trying to figure it out then.

“Gimme that.” Romano threw his previous thoughts aside and forcefully took the bottle from Prussia, spilling even more as he did so. Before it would be to late he was going to take care of this himself. Dammit, where was Spain when he needed him?!

"I so know what's best for me, and whatever you plan to do is not it!" Why wasn't Prussia getting the hint? He was being so troublesome!

"You're the one who hit his head during that explosion," he pointed out stubbornly with a matter-of-fact kinda tone of voice. Stupid Prussia, always so damn annoying.

Romano put the bottle out of Prussia's reach. Taking in a deep breath he forced himself up, collecting all his strength head butting the bastard in the stomach as hard as he could.

Sealand stared in utter awe when his uncle effortlessly lifted the bed, he'd laughed when the proceeding events occurred, but now he felt himself staring off into space. He was thinking back on the time spent incarcerated and Nee-hang. He really wondered if they could all get along.

He also wondered when he'd really get the chance to spend some quality time with Arthur. He hadn't seen (or rather, wanted to see) England since their reunification. Things were a bit... strained with them, a bit... awkward.

The young nation sat on the armless bench seat, staring off to the side, looking mildly troubled.
