The Pool

An Olympic pool was set on the roof of the nations’ hotel, surrounded only by glass only. There was a closet near the elevator, that had all items for a real pool party, that ranged from balls and nets for playing, to just floating cushions for relaxing. One could see the entire island from the room; despite the hotel being only three stories high ( Read more... )

It was like any other day for Alfred. He had finally made his way towards the pool after a long work out and was wearing his favorite American Flag swim trunks. He stretched his arms and touched his toes and then jumped in, cannon ball style, into the pool. He surfaced and decided to float on his back, grabbing a beach ball and using it as a psedo-float of sorts as he imitated a sea otter on his back. He closed his eyes and floated in leisure.

"Mmmm I haven't been in a pool this large in a while..."

Hopefully the mighty and heoric nation wouldn't sink to the bottom like a stone if he fell asleep.

As a few minutes just before, Yao had taken his usual spot aside the pool, as he did most mornings to view over the cool waters as he worked on his papers. Although, his silence as the American entered the pool ended up coming back to kick him with a wall of water as Alfred made his cannon-ball of an entry, leaving Yao soaked aside the pool's edge.

His usual look of annoyance took it's place cross his face and he sighed as the American, still having not noticed him, roamed his way round the pool,"Great, aru..." Yao's voice leaked with sarcasm as he sighed again and tried to mop the water off his papers,"...just great."

Alfred looked up in suprise at the Asian and splashed around a bit in suprise.

"Oh HEY! Um...sorry Yao! Sorry!" He doggy paddeled over to the pool edge. He climbed out and gingerly fast-walked over to get some towels and held about five of them and gave a sheepish grin.

"I was taken aback by such serene beauty that I kinda..didn't..hear you. Sorry China, sorry!"

Yao reluctantly took one of the towels, mumbling something to himself as he pulled out his hair tie and tried to wring out some of the water. Just before he could thank the American, another blonde had entered the room...and before he knew it, Alfred had shoved the Britain into the pool's water; another wave of water, this time splashing over the both of them.

China sighed and took two of the dry towels, tossing one over America's head and keeping one for himself as he made another attempt to dry off his work.

"...no use, aru...these are ruined," He sighed again before he stood up and closed his notebook, leaving it on his chair.

Yao walked calmly over to the pool's edge, "You both really are amateurs, aru," He smirked, "This is how you do it,"

And with that, he took a quick step back before launching himself into the air, spreading both his arms out before he hit the water, creating a splash big enough to cover the two Englishmen.

Needing to get out of his room and stretch his legs, Arthur decided to check out the pool. Since it was located on the roof, he imagined it would be bit more vacant than the rest of the building. But it was the pool, so he found he wasn't that surprised when he happened upon two other nations enjoying the water.

Er, one nation. Alfred, of course. The other was soaking wet, and not exactly very happy about it. He should probably just turn around right now and- no. No he shouldn't. He wanted to enjoy the pool, too, and dammit he was going to.

Or at least the view. He was having second thoughts about getting into the water.

Snickering to himself, Arthur approached Yao and surveyed the damage. His expression turned more serious after a moment, however, and he sighed. "Oh, jeez. That looks bad," he sympathized. "Stupid idiot needs to think about other people every once and a while."

"PUSSHHH!!" Alfred yelled and suddenly used a free arm to push England into the pool.

"Why not enjoy yourself by cooling off, eh?" Alfred made a face at England and went back to helping Yao.
