Yeah at work...uh...well when I worked there...

They have a standard stamp for this sort of thing? So it happens...often then? I mean, I guess with mail it's one thing. But a package like that the person had to have ordered something and keeled over promptly. Which kinda sucks for all involved, most especially the deceased.

With the mail though, what a way to find out a person had died. You send the annual Christmas letter to that nice old lady who lived down the street in your old neighborhood and you get it back with "deceased" on it. Well...shit!

Receiver Deceased.

Wow. Now that's a package I never want to get returned to my mailbox. Although, not too be too shallow, but if it was something like a Christmas present, would it be acceptable to keep it for yourself? Because you at least made the effort to send it :)

Well, what else would you do with it? Unless you wanted to return it or something, but....present!

And what's REALLY sad is that the first thing I saw in this post was "return to shipper" and I thought it was going to be some sort of fandom joke until I read the rest of the entry.

You have no idea how long it took for me to stop giggling at the "Return to Shipper" messages. No idea.
