I distinctly remember The Once and Future King being around 1400 words. It's the longest thing I've written this year, and probably in a few years. I'm staring this Ethics paper down and it's kicking my ass. The damn thing is crawling along. D: For a bit there, I was like, "God, I haven't even written that much in one fic this year." just repeat the first paragraph over and over again or like be redundant and don't use contractions. that's what i do.

Even if you don't manage to quite do NaNoWriMo this year, I think trying is important.

I think that the more you do it every year, the easier it'll become to write. And then eventually you can finish something for NaNoWriMo.

Either way, though, good luck. I wish I could offer better advice, but I can't seem to get past 2 chapters on ANY fanfic.
