I've got a prescription for a panic medication, which I should hopefully get filled after work tomorrow. I'm hoping it settles me down some.
I had a random Demon!Asch plotbunny, but I don't know how to implement it or where. It'd be fun.
And now for something completely different: So what are my thoughts on yaoi Luke?(
Tales of the Abyss spoilers abound! )

it was just... ugh. i'm a diehard fabrecest shipper, i love them through and through, and to watch luke WRECK, DESTROY, ANNIHILATE their relationship and what little budding respect asch had for him in just ONE FELL FUCKING SWOOP like that was just. i SCREAMED. WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF RETARD IS HE. HE SERIOUSLY IS PARIS HILTON, HE'S A FUCKING IDIOT EVEN AFTER HE TRIES TO "CHANGE HIMSELF".
but you're right and it KILLS me that it had to end that way. they were both busting their asses trying to find out who they were as individuals and in the end they both get raped with a totem pole and mushed into one big thing by Zelos Lorelei? un fucking fair.
god i hate you stupid short haired luke. i HATE you.

What kills me is that Asch was TRYING. He was trying to compromise, which is totally against his rigid defense over all the remaining pieces of what he is. I don't know how long-haired!Luke (...I just almost typed Lloyd-haired!Luke. @_@) I mean, Luke could have kicked Asch in the nads and peed on him with more grace than that. And everyone else just watches, except for Natalia who tries to help calm Asch down. AND /SIGNED.
It just fucks up their whole character development, IMO. Not that Asch had nearly as much of it as Luke did, but they were both trying so hard to find themselves. With all the work they did to save the world, I think Lorelei could have pulled a miracle or two out of its ass to let them both live. >:[ They earned it!
i am not that fond of him. >.> i don't want to say that i hate him. :/

Though I don't think I could ever hate Luke, I do agree with you that he screwed up the only chance Asch had ever given him to work together. And I think the changes in Asch's voice throughout that entire scene clearly depict the point you were trying to make. And Luke... well Luke was trying so hard to find himself, I don't think he realized he also needed to give Asch the same opportunities to find himself rather than pushing the title of "Luke fon Fabre" on him. It's almost like he /wanted/ Asch to accept that title just so Luke could help push himself into finding a new identity.
As for the ending... I agree with something Meimi said to me a while back that goes along with your thoughts on their individuality. Everyone keeps saying that the person at the end of the game is Lusch (of course being the combination of both Asch and Luke). And ( ... )

I like to think that they both came back, but only Luke went straight to see everyone. Pretty silly, but it keeps me entertained. :X
