How bad is PATTER? Should I have played like TAG?

ROWT vs WORT -- I didn't want to give back the extensions to WORT so of course my next rack had FLEA on it.

Why do you think John is going to find DOTINGS if he played a phony for 10 fewer points in the first place? Something at E11 seems fine there. Also, I like (W)AT where you played PATTER. Can't play something like AT because then there aren't enough bingo lanes. AELRT is a great leave and WAT seems to open the board up well enough that you'll often get a chance to use it. TA(G) also seems good as you suggested.

I have a problem where I always assume that everyone else knows everything I know. I do this in real life, too, not just in Scrabble.

I don't remember my thought process why I rejected fishing on the PATTER play. I know I spent a long time on it. It's way too early to be worried about falling behind or anything like that.

Anything else you see that's interesting? What about FLEY vs FELON(R)Y?
