Your flowers are hand grenades, your words are weapons

Uh, been a bit goners recently, and likely for a while more. We are in the middle of a huge renovation project (finally the second bathroom is getting done and everything else is going to be painted and prettified), so am mostly away from the computer and working my great makeover mojo. Today is mostly for stuffing holes with silicone, which is ( Read more... )

I kind of had high hopes for the movie, "Snow White and the Huntsmen," because I love fairy tales, but after I read the reviews on IMDB I decided I was better off not watching it :/

Your review was quite amusing though XD Had me giggling for a few minutes.

And that's great that things are working out with the guy :) I'm horribly awkward on dates (have I mentioned this enough XD) so I'm glad I'm married! I'm also horribly shy in person. I have trouble looking people in the eyes unless I know them well :S

I was a bit afraid this would happen, but the trailers were so gorgeous I was really hoping it meant that they made an effort. It's a shame because I love fairy tales and such a dark version of it would've been right up my alley.

I was rather pissed, so I had to do a bit of funny to make myself feel better. XD So yay if it worked for you too. :D

I have a similar problem, I'm pretty shy around people I don't know well, and that comes out about tenfold when someone seems interested in me. IDEK. Thankfully, we both seem to be big on the "honesty above all" principle, so at least that is a huge comfort. So far we are spectacularly well-matched in intellect and interests. Now just to figure out if it goes beyond that.

OHMYGOD I KNOW. ALL OF THIS.

I saw the movie the other night. And yes, just basically all of this.

mostly, i spent the entire movie making thor jokes under my breath, and giving a running commentary ala 'OHLOOK. SHE LEARNED TO WIELD A SWORD IN TWO SECONDS WOW. MAAAGIC.'

RIGHT? We just couldn't help ourselves. You cannot ever take that kiss scene seriously when someone whispers "OMG look he brought her back to life. DefibrillaThor to the rescue!"

Ahahahah. From the very first time I read about the movie plot, I knew it would be a disaster.
I haven't watched, and I think I won't watch it anyway. Some of my friends said it's a really good movie. Well maybe the effects and some kind of that is good, but the plot? Disaster.

And yes, the part about Snow White got so good in sword art in such a VERY short time is....unacceptable, even for fantasy movie.

It's a really gorgeous movie as far as the visuals go. If they would've bothered to make it somewhat believable, I would be all over it. But like this? Nah.

I was starting to lose my patience already when Snow White escaped the castle and there was a horse waiting for her on the beach, and then commenced a long chasing scene where she rode it full speed with no saddle or bridle or anything. Just... my suspension of disbelief has limits too.

I had the same feeling about the Prince. At least they could've turned his presence into an actual competition between the Huntsman and the Prince, if they really needed to have him there. But otherwise? Definitely would've been much better if they chopped off the excess. I felt that much of the time spent on the forest scenes was rather unnecessary too.

Mother and I planned to watch it this weekend. Meh, we'll probably go just for that obligatory shirtless scene That's all we wanted from this movie anyway lol. I don't know, after watching the trailers I didn't actually believe it was going to be very good but I thought it would be interesting... Ah, it's so sad when people have a good idea but don't know how to develop (story of all my fanfics). =/

And good luck with the Date! 8DDDDD

What frustrates me most is that it could've been so good. There was a lot of potential in it. And then they just had to go and ruin it. :/ But shirtless Thor is still shirtless, so. YAY EYE CANDY. :3

I don't believe you. Write that story already so I can tell. LOL

Thank you! Going out tonight again... *flails*
