A question though, about the whole Loki being tortured by Chitauri thing, is it true/official from Marvel or just fan theories?? Cause I've seen in tumblr and fanfics people often said about The Chitauri tortured/brainwashed Loki.

I have so far only came across the torture bit in fan sources, but it seems entirely plausible to me. I don't think there is anything officially said about it, but the movie drops hints that point to Loki being abused in some shape or form, especially in the way the Other treats him. I can hardly imagine that the relationship between Loki and the Chitauri was a tea party, so am just rolling with this headcanon for now.

I also agree with the theory that Loki's doing in Midgard, you know about opening the portal and sending the Chitauri army. I think it's a mixed between obligation and his own scheme. The Chitauri "forced" him to fulfill this obligation, but on the other hand, clever Loki used this obligation to help himself achieve his own purpose, to rule Midgard.
Maybe this is what he meant when he said "It's too late" to Thor. He can't just back away, The Chitauri's threat of torture is still hanging on his head.
Oh Loki....what have you gotten yourself into....Thor needs to give him a hug while saying "everything will be alright Loki, I will always be with you and you're safe" ;__;

I think I ranted about this somewhere to someone, but I also think Loki gets really caught up in the game, which is another reason. It sort of ceases to matter that it was started out of a certain necessity, and victory becomes paramount just for victory's sake. And Loki does enjoy the game, very much so, which is why he is unlikely to just forfeit and let go of his schemes.
