Humane societies are generally pretty ok establishments. They do the best they can with limited resources. I may not always agree with the choices they make regarding HOW they go about doing what they do, and I may roll my eyes a lot at certain regional humane societies and their inconsistencies, but rarely do I have a serious gripe with them.
