Yet another meme
Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal.
Here are the questions from fogsblue.
1. If you could pick a Doctor to travel with which one?
Hmm... I don't think I would choose Ten or Eleven... Ten would be constantly moping over Rose, and Eleven is kind of a terrible person lol. So maybe Eight or Nine. I'll have to toss a coin to decide which!
2. 3 episodes you could happily skip when watching Doctor Who?
Only 3?? Ah geez. The episodes that I happily skip basically include the S6 story arc. (Oh, and The Black Spot. And Night Terrors.)
Buuut to avoid picking on S6 too much, I will simply leave it at Let's Kill Hitler. This episode was a MESS. The shortlist of reasons why:
- Retconning Mels into Amy and Rory's backstory
- Amy and Rory didn't hold the Doctor accountable for not bothering to rescue River... they didn't even ask for an explanation as to why he couldn't FFS.
- The rage-inducing sexist comments from Mels. "Quiet, Dad! I'm concentrating on a dress size!"
- The failiness of the idea that growing up alongside your kid amounts to raising her.
#2 would be The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood. I have never been bored by an episode of Doctor Who before. Not even 42, which is of course also by Chris Chibnall. But these two... I felt pretty much like Amy the entire time I was watching.
Oh, and if I can count the mini-episodes, "Space" and "Time" are absolutely terrible for my blood pressure, so they will be #3.
3. If you could only watch 5 TV shows what would they be?
Ooh that's another tough one...
1. Doctor Who - I just love it. And if I were to start with William Hartnell, I would have lots to keep me going!
2. Friends - 10 seasons, so lots of episodes.
3. The Big Bang Theory - I can watch this show over and over again.
4. Futurama - One of my all-time favourites.
5. Planet Earth - I'm a fan of nature shows. So either this or Daily Planet.
4. Do you have any odd habits?
Hmm... I tend to talk to myself. Mostly when I'm alone, so as not to alarm any bystanders.
5. Your favourite movie when you were a kid?
3-way tie between The Princess Bride, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. ♥
6. Best movie you've seen in 2012?
The Hunger Games, although The Avengers is a close second.
7. If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
Ever since Free Willy, I've always wanted an orca. This vid changed my mind somewhat.
