I miss the Snowflake Challenge.

I looked forward every day to what the next one would be. There was much appreciation and love. I did accept keiliss challenge to post more on LJ. I generally don't post much, but surely I can find something to say. Or to ask? What's every-one doing fandom-wise?

I am writing, because I always am, and reading, because again, I always do. Because I have made a couple of new friends on my f-list, though I have mentioned that I am now self-employed as a writer, I'll give a link to what I do.

The Honest Guys

Kev (my partner) and Rick, (long-time friend of my family) started this YouTube channel but when a relaxation video started getting loads of views, they decided to make more. And by the comments, they really do help people. Sometimes the comments forwarded to me make me want to cry, if there are people who live in pain and can't sleep but listen to one of the meditations and then are able to, that is very humbling. I write the meditations, Rick adds the music, visuals and does the voice-over. Some of the meditations have no script, like Kev's idea of a candle meditation. It has over 4,000,000 views, but then I read that apparently candle-light does have a positive effect on mood, so perhaps that is not surprising.

This one is called The Sanctuary. (Actually filmed at David's house, with his real fire). He had a wood-burner installed a week after this was filmed, so this was the last time his old open fire was lit.

I also write Middle-earth based meditations, and get asked to write more. Erebor is one I've been asked for, (before Smaug came) along with people wanting meditations set in other worlds, but I don't know them.  It's very easy for me to close my eyes and imagine Middle-earth.

This is a meditation set in Rivendell. Of course the Middle-earth meditations are peaceful d;-) not like my 'other' writing.

THG currently has over 54,000 subscribers, and on average 80,000 views per day. I feel I am really doing something that, combined with the music, visuals and voice-over, is helping people. We read the comments, and if people ask for a specific meditation, I will write it.
As a person who found it very hard to even help herself, I am amazed that I can do this, and deeply grateful. I don't feel useless any-more.
