As seen on juno_magic's LJ.

In the spirit of the Fandom Snowflake Challenge, I am trying to be more active on LJ. And I would love it if people copied this and answered it themselves.

How are you all?

So, questions )

1. of the fic you’ve written, which are you most proud of?

my latest one, because it is the longest I've ever written in English.

2. favorite tense (past/present/future)

I'm glad, when I get the sense right, so none at all.

3. favorite POV (first/second/third/etc)

The third, but it tends to slip into the first. Often it's the character's observation's and thought's I write.

4. what are some themes you love writing about?

Discovering a darker character's better side, or trying to redeem him.

5. what inspires you to write?

Feedback mostly. There a few author's who I love to discuss with and sometimes writing a fic is easier than explaining. Otherwise is good story's.

6. thoughts on critique

I love getting it, especially when it's about a character's reaction. If an another answer could have prompted another plotline. What I need, is probably more commenting on my writing style.

7. Create a character on the spot…. NOW!Her lord had named her Seldocundo, child guardian. His wife thought it was, because she had watched his ( ... )

I am never going to be able to see another meteor shower without thinking of the Valaraukar. ::runs off to look up next meteor shower::

LOL. I miss all the meteor showers here, as it is usually cloudy. Pity - but I have seen some when I was younger, which made me think of it.

I read this bit above, and I recognised myself in it. I do that!

The main one I can think of, apart from hah! - everything! is: I feel far more comfortable writing male characters, than females. If I try to write women, I feel like I am writing myself which I absolutely hate!

Allow me to disagree about your "everything". I recently read your Loki crossover and I was amazed at your world building. Your descriptions are amazing. That's a gift!

Writing female characters is ok for me in a fantasy setting, but I would hate to write women in a RL type of story.

I've been a copy-cat and done the meme too.

That was not really world building in that fic, as I have written quite a bit about Van in the Harad before, so it was just remembering what I'd wrote :) But I am glad you enjoyed it! I am so tired of this soggy winter I needed to write somewhere hot!

I just can't do it either way, or not now. I used to. I think I am a little bit in love with all the main characters I write, and they're all gorgeous men. I am an ogler of sexy blokes, and that's all there is to it d;-)

One day perhaps. Once I've finished everything. Her people obviously loved and trusted her, respected her even though she didn't conform to what were tribal norms. She must have been remarkable.

Also nothing gives me more of a kick than reading something that I love! I often use that when I am a bit bogged down. It never fails!

Amen--me too!

Also, fabulous Balrog passage! Being able to write really out-there, fantasy-type creatures is something I kind of despair of, which is ironic given how much Tolkien fanfic I write!

Also, write Haleth! There need to be more Haleth stories out there, imho. ;)

Being able to write really out-there, fantasy-type creatures is something I kind of despair of, which is ironic given how much Tolkien fanfic I write!Well, I already have a Balrog in Magnificat, so it was not really an exact 'on the spot' and I have written of some of the Balrog's past. Not Daachas who killed Glorfindel, but the idea of Balrogs before they entered Melkor's service and after is something I've written. I couldn't think of anything else. I make up characters on the spot when writing quite a lot; they just 'happen ( ... )
