i wanted to go to burning man. michelle just cannot will not must not let me go by myself. why is that? i've discovered the secret. she would not have control over me for more than one week. that sucks and i hate it. next year i'm aiming to go by myself.

Wow that sucks. But when given an ultimatum, it is based on their fear not yours. I was given an ultimatum recently and I told them, "don't give me an ultimatum, you will never like the outcome". And they didn't and they changed their minds.

I can understand that type of statement from a girl in a monogamous relationship...I still think it's symptomatic of a bigger issue that needs to be talked about and I don't necessarily agree that it's a wise statement to make in any circumstances...
