The Adventures of Mr. Paystree - A Work Day

Sep 13, 2009 18:44

A new photostory! Check it out. XD

My father brought home a couple of pastries from work the other day. I've seen them in this bakery near his workplace before, so prior to the start of the story, I'm going to give credit where it's due - Mr. Paystree (and subsequent appearances in whatever form) comes from Vanilla, a bakery in Kajang town, and is not my creation whatsoever. I do not own him either. His name's mine though - I can't remember what the bakery calls them. So if you're ever in the area, go check Vanilla out! They have other yummy buns and cakes for sale too.

Moving on. =]

Mr. Paystree: Hey there! I'm Mr. Paystree.

It's eight in the morning, and I'm on my way to work. It's still too early to get up, so I'm staying in my plastic bag!bed for now, next to my friend. Speaking of which, can you see his chicken floss!hair peeking out next to me? *nudges companion* Hey, come and say hi!

Mr. Chicken Floss: Zzz...

Mr. Paystree: Ah well. Someone should let him know that he's in dire need of a hairstylist, by the way.

At the office.

Mr. Paystree: Excuse my rumpled appearance. I'd better go freshen up before the first call comes in.

Ring ring!

Mr. Paystree: Hello, Paystree speaking. Yes, I've got that report finished up. Mhm. Yep. I think so...custard creams! A meeting with the top chief? Oh boy. I'll be there to meet you in the city in an hour, that okay? Alrighty then. Thanks, 'bye.

The phone is replaced.

Mr. Paystree: ...oh no, I didn't bring my tie!!!

In the city.

Mr. Paystree: Ah, to the baking furnace with the tie. I don't think they'll notice anyway. Hey, driver? Aren't we stopping so the lady in yellow can cross with her friend?

Mr. Paystree: Still on the way to the meeting, but I had to stop and take a photo in front of this awesome building! I love the Twin Towers. Lots of shopping to do there too! Maybe I can squeeze in a lunch break there if the meeting doesn't run too long...they have good yeast chips somewhere.

Back in the office.

Mr. Paystree: Ah, my comfortable executive's chair. I'm still full from lunch, and kinda sleepy too...I think I'll sit here a while.

Note to self: Send memo to Furnishing Department to request for another chair. This diminishes my authority somehow.

Mr. Paystree: Checking out the news before the end of the work day. I love football.
