Got my letter from UT today. I didn't get in. At this point, it wasn't all that surprising. I figured I would have heard before now if I got in, and I was right

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get in, but that's wonderful that work is going to be better for you! I truly believe that when you're actively trying to make a change, change will come--even if it's not what you originally imagined.

Sorry to hear that UT didn't work this time around, but also glad that your work and job situation is lookin' up. When I spoke to a UT advisor about the grad program I was interested in, he reminded me to reapply again even if I don't get in one year, because each year they do accept people who were not accepted the previous year. That sounds confusing when I read it back, but I think you know what I mean. So much depends on things like how many people are graduating from that program when you apply, number of applicants, etc. So in all, yes, you said it - do not give up, and you will get there. : )
