So a week and a half ago we took Gus into be seen by the doctor. He was breathing funny. We got the " it's just a cold" speech.

But we took him in yesterday because he was grabbing his ear and wailing.

Yeah major year infection in the beginning of pneumonia.

It's frustrating how do you know when to take a kid in?

Christmas 2011 we had Naya in CO and didn't realize she had bronchitis and a double ear infection (until she started screaming when the plane descended into OR on the trip home) because we'd had her in the week before we left too. We felt awful when we found out. It is frustrating--but so hard to know.
Hope he feels better soon.

The funny thing is, other than the ear pain, he's fine. And now that the ear popped he isn't in pain at all.

Crazy.

That's good! Naya always spikes a miserable fever with an ear infection---every time.
