Seems like the only news is bad news...

This is the second post I've made in the last year.

The first was about my car accident: I got a ticket. Totaled my car. Bumped my insurance up $50 a month. And I had to get a new car I don't enjoy as much, but which puts me in further debt for the next 5 years.

I really wish that were the better of the two.

It's good to hear from you, Lynn, even if it's not in the best circumstances.

I want you to know that I put your dad and your whole family on our prayer list at the church and that there are some 900 + people praying for your family.

So, I'm gathering from your post that there isn't a good treatment or cure for what your father has that will help him get better faster? Just a wait and see kind of thing? I know that's the worst kind. Please know you guys are covered in prayer right now. *HUGS TO YOU* Hang in there.

Well I told Bobbie to keep us informed too, but if you get updates and can get to the computer, please let us know. We're hurting for you, too, so it's nice to hear what's going on.

I will do my best, this computer is in the waiting room, but it's communal, so I don't know when I'll be able to use. But I shall try, whilst I still have access to it. I think I may go back to work monday.

Man, I dont even know what to say. My thoughts and prayers and love go out to you and your Ma and Pa!

I went through a similar thing when my step dad had a stroke a few years ago. Although he never fully regained his speech or all of his movement in his left hand is he still here with us and everyday I am grateful for it. I wish the same for your dad!

If you need anything, anything at all...you know you can call me. Even if it is just an ear to listen!

I love you man and my best thoughts are going out to you and your family!

Lots of love and hugs, Bill

We found out towards the end of the night yesterday that he may have had a series of small strokes... nothing big, but enough to cause us some worry. We getting him an MRI sometime today, and I think a physical therepist is coming in too. But right now he is out of bed, sitting up in a chair, and he fed himself this morning, so we're cautiously optimistic. Thanks for the love Sir, I miss ya.

I was talking to my Mom about your Dad's situation since she has been through it a few times with my step-dad. She said that if he indeed had small strokes (forget the technical term for them) to make sure that the doctors check his carotid arteries (in his neck). Apparently if the doctors had done that with my step dad the first time around they could have corrected the problem early on. Apparently it is something that most doctors forget to check or dont check too often. Just some extra info to pass on to your ma.

Lots of love and good thoughts to you.

Damn, I'm sorry I didn't get this sooner, but my access to the internet has been sporadic at best. Ma says it's too late to use the info though, cause the strokes happend while he was still in ICU last week... But she and I thank you very much for thinking about us like that! We love ya sir!
