May was near Felicity's locker, casually texting with Davida, making excuses for not meeting up with her and Courtney while she waited for the younger girl to show up. It was pretty much a given that Felicity would have to stop here before leaving, and May really needed to talk to her about the stuff that had been left in her locker

Felicity hurried out of the computer lab, stuffing her laptop into her messenger bag. She brushed her blonde hair out of her face and headed to her locker. She needed to head home and talk to her mom about the renovations they were doing on their home.

She reached her locker and saw...May standing there.

Crap. Has she seen the Scarlet Spider swinging around town again? Is she going to tell me to stop? Or is this...something else?

She slowed down as she reached her locker and May...and she forced a smile onto her face.

"Hi May, what's...going on?"

May glanced around. There were way too many people around for her comfort, considering what she needed to talk about. "Something weird's been going on," she said. "Meet me on the roof when you get your stuff?"

Felicity opened her locker and grabbed her English homework. She stuffed it into her bag and nodded at May. "We can go now."

May wound her way through the crowd of departing students, partially lost in her own little world as she continued to turn over in her mind what she'd found in her locker. Maybe it was a joke, like that guy who'd bought all those costumes from the Spider-Girl store that one time.

Maybe... but probably not.

At least the stairway and the school roof were blessedly clear. Since the influx of new students, the halls of Midtown had been really crowded.
