Technically he's not evil because of the remorse he shows. He is ambitious though but not really evil.
Besides, killing a relative to become king wasn't really that big of a deal back then.
It was just a fun question we had back in the day in script anal. We also got into this huge action/reaction/David Ball thing. It was fun.
