i like the sound of NaNoEdMo.. sounds... I dunno! December is when most people typically edit in an unofficial way because people generally assume if left for any longer there won't be the buzz of finishing to make the effort worthwhile. Although agreed that normally leaving a bit more of a gap is a wise plan :)
