I'm so happy Blood Bowl is finally being made into a video game... took effing long enough.

I hope this is done right... coupled with Dawn of War 2 and Warhammer Online giving us Slayers and Choppas by March along with new dungeons and zones (for free!)... it's gonna be a Great Warhammer start to the year!

Niiiiiice...

buuuuuut... Blood Bowl was already a video game.
Blood Bowl 1995 DOS game.

I imagine I still have it somewhere.... and I used to play the fuck out of it.

Wanted to dig it out and see what the Dark Elves QB's name was... so I could name a DE in WAR the same thing.

It had a few quirks... like ogres and trees took up only one square, instead of the 4 they're supposed to.

I still remember throwing my hands in the air with glee and cheering when I would kill a player on a block.

Good times... good times.

I suppose I should reiterate that I meant recently... especially when it's an MS-DOS game back in '95 haha (I didn't even have a computer then).

The company that is making the current Blood Bowl made a game that was a complete rip-off of Blood Bowl and there have been a few games with similar themes like Mutant League Football for the Genesis (which I played like crazy)... but this seems like it's doing it right and gives us the fun customization options etc so you don't have to invest in the tabletop figures.
I've been wanting decent Warhammer games for years.. and it's only been recently that they've started coming out. I believe the first would be Dawn of War... now if only they could get someone to make a decent version of the Fantasy RTS instead of the horrid ones they keep putting out.

I can't wait to play a Slayer... that was my first Warhammer miniature I ever painted. When Elven Wardancers become a playable race I will be in heaven.
