I've had this journal for 4 years and 8 months. After a gap of just over 9 months I'm returning to write in it again. Livejournal appears to have had an influx of OULES (good), already had a large number of LARPers, who I now know much better (good), and seems to have taken on advertisers (not good at all

The darkness of No Internet. Then I figured out quite how brain-dead I was being, and managed to set up my wireless NIC so that it didn't get the wrong firmware hotplugged in every boot, and Lo! It did Transmit and Receive, and I was Well Pleased.

Didn't I accidentally phone you at all over the last 9 months? For shame, what has the world come to!?

You should come visit my house in Oxford. Is very, very shiny. I have an urge to throw parties suddenly - it's just so nice to have somewhere that's actually *mine* rather than knowing that it has to go back into boxes each term.

Thinking of shiny, have you discovered Firefly yet? I suspect you'd love it. It's become a new mini-obsession for me. It's that good.
