Well, you know, the purpose of free education is to produce a population able to use that education to earn money for themselves, in whatever way they choose... most jobs you could take would use your education in one way or another, and if you're actually doing one that doesn't use it at all, that's a bit of a waste, n'est pas?

I'm sorry, I was actually intending to make a joke of some form, and instead that came out terribly trite. Will try harder next time.
