Why am I awake this early? There is no human reason that I should wake up at 5:45 after last night, but I have. I know that if I try to get another couple of hours sleep I will inevitably take another six to eight hours, miss LARP and job applications, and be thoroughly pissed off with myself. So I'm doing useful preparation-type things instead,

Well, I'm a HUGE fan of Smith's fancy stationery - If I could afford it I'd redeck myself every year in matching folders, notepads, addressbook and diary, with a pencilcase and photo album thrown in for good measure.

They make black lether gear, that would make me want to shag my folders, and fluffy pink stuff, and classy suede things and tarty playboy things and generally just a set of stationery for every mood, allowing everyone to express themselves even when they're being boring and working in a library!!!

But just think - every piece of stationary which is sold could be about to have a great masterpiece written on it! Selling pens and paper is already exciting, whatever their design!

Yeah, okay, maybe it isn't really. But you could tell them that.
