If you have X-aware SSH server and clients, it's as simple asssh -Y hostname
OpenSSH (the one that comes with most Linux and BSD distros IIRC) supports this on both client and server sides, and PuTTY works as a Windows client.
Although there may be an issue with setting up an X server on Windows to display the windows you receive if that's the way you're doing it... I've done it in the past, and it took somewhere between 5 minutes and 96 hours. It was long enough ago that I don't have any useful advice to offer, though.
