I started a new consulting gig at a company called Cambrian House this week. They attempt to leverage "the wisdom of crowds" to ensure that production resources are only allocated to efforts that have a chance of succeeding. They call what they do Crowdsourcing and have a strong cognizance in the Calgary developer community.

Cambrian House... they had a puzzle of some kind on their recruiting page, IIRC. Looked like a cool place to work. Love the viking wall art, too :)

Cool. It is different than any other shop I've ever worked in... but only in good ways.
