Oh my life...

So, I just did this "Science Project" with my kindergarten class called "How does a camera work?" and it was a total bust!! The had to make these two funnels, and somehow stick this big square translucent paper in between them, and place a magnifying glass at the other end ( Read more... )

Conor Teacher, you sound like you are having quite the time! LoL, Sarah and I were talking about how we couldn't imagine you teaching hoards of Korean children, and the picture you just painted of your experience was about how we thought it would go! I can't even imagine being in your position, teaching english to kids who speak a language I have no inkling of. Man, you've got some balls! You'll get the hang of it after a while...unless instructions class projects continue to be written in bad English...or Korean? I can only imagine. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun, though. My life is settling down after the turmoil that ensued upon your departure, finally, thank the gods. Max is still in rehab, and I have a nice place to live, complete w/ koi pond and hot tub. If I'm still living here when you return, you'll have to jacuzzi it up with me! thanks for posting, i've been meaning to write back to you after that initial email you sent a while ago. but this is getting quite lengthy, so i'll go now. miss you! <3jo

I guess i bounced at the right time, cuz I don't know where i'd be now if I had not decided to leave LA after the Max-ccident (haha). Glad to see things are going well. Enjoy your trip to San Fran.!

I'm in East Santa Monica, still west of the 405 (barely), and have the I-10, literally, in my front yard. The place is really nice though (and my housemate is awesome...and drug-free), so I could care less about the building's location. Actually finding this place in the minicule amount of time I had after hearing that Max was breaking the lease (4 days b/f I had to move out) was insane. Moving was also insane. I actually had to sleep at work for a week! Thank the gods I actually found a place , or I would have had to fully move into work. All has panned out for the best and I'm treating this time as a new beginning for myself. All works out for the best in the end, and I'm super happy you're starting afresh and doing awesome things. Go Conor! Keep updating LJ!
