Photos from December

I know December still has another week left, but I already had such a fabulous month. The end of this year is going to be fairly hectic for me, so here are a few of my favorite things about this month thus far.

I aced all of my classes this semester! My grades for this term brought my overall GPA up to a mildly impressive 3.707. Not too shabby. Since the semester ended, I've been horribly lazy and it has been wonderful!

Zooey spam! Since Winter Break started, we've been making up for lost time. <3

This seems so hilariously disgusting, I had to share. What the hell?!

UNBREAK MY HEART!

Kindle nights in bed. The best.

This is just too perfect.

I filled up my gas tank for 20 bucks! Is it 10 years ago?

If you don't secretly love Crossroads, then I don't know you.

I posted this earlier when I was feeling semi-nostalgic about high school. Felt necessary for this post.

My mom got promoted!

Mexican food day featured TAMALES WITH BOWS, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS EVERYTHING TO ME.

As if you didn't already know. Also, Cards Against Humanity has really been the best and worst thing my friends and I have ever participated in.

Leslie gives the greatest gifts!

My department at work participated in a Christmas centerpiece competition. My team (Even the newbies!) is composed of a group of delightfully weird individuals and this was our masterpiece.

How cute are these?!

Michelle and I bought Leslie an Ugly Christmas Sweater cookie kit. We should have known that Leslie isn't capable of baking anything that isn't completely adorable.

The last episode! Glad for the season to be over, I'm so looking forward to the next chapter of this compelling and hugely successful podcast. If you haven't checked it out, what are you waiting for?!

My family did things a bit differently this year by having our Christmas on Christmas Eve. It wasn't quite the same, but as you can see below, it was still a pretty damn terrific holiday.

Docs on your feet give you credit on the street. I have NEVER been more excited about shoes in my life.

I seriously was so overwhelmed with the awesomeness of my gifts this year. I still can't get over this bag. TOO CUTE! Best. Christmas. Ever.

...

So this has been an interesting year. Lots of changes occured and they happened so slowly, I almost didn't notice. But I'm so grateful because they were all changes that vastly improved my life. I can finally say that I am surrounded by the most wonderful group of people. A few people left my life this year and were immediately replaced by fantastic, decent, genuine, interesting human beings. I never knew how great it could be to be surrounded by people whose motives I don't have to question, who aren't constantly creating new drama for themselves, who tell the truth and accept responsibility for their actions, and who have so much to offer. Somehow they decided I was worth their time and I couldn't be more thankful.

2014 wasn't perfect, but there isn't a thing I would want to change about it. 2015 is going to be a huge year for me and I welcome whatever it has to offer with open arms. I'm content and I'm happy. Since I don't have much to complain about anymore and since I'll soon be busy becoming a real social worker (AHHH!) I will be taking a hiatus from posting to LJ. I'll still be reading entries and will attempt to be a better LJ friend than I've been this past year.

Wishing everyone a merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and an even better 2015!
