I think lots of polite phone calls to any galleries hosting "his" work which could point the way to websites showing suspiciously similar material could be effective.

I've certainly been thinking of politely notifying the galleries of it... and maybe politely (and quietly, to be polite) putting up a bunch of fliers...

I'm sure that putting the flyers up would be effective at deterring some people from going in (and should definitely be put up, and possibly call him a pedophile), but most would just walk on by, and the ones that don't may have purchased tickets in advance, so the gallery sees no loss of money from them. Knowing that they might be able to make more money catering to the fans of the actual artists' could prod them a bit harder.

Just noticed that the Penny Arcade guys are also talking about this http://www.penny-arcade.com/2007/04/11 http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic
They are a bit cynical and sarcastic, but such is life.

Yep, although I agree with them... sorta

Buzzing on forums and such might hurt their sales a bit, since they market to youth, and youth are generalyl net savvy. But it probably won't do much.

Which is why tonight I'm going to draw up a bunch of fliers people can print out for themselves and politely inform the public on what they may be considering spending their money on :)

That's awesome. Actually doing something is impressive to me.
And yeah, I partially agree with them, too, but figured I'd mention the cynicism up front, since I didn't want it to offend you or anyone.

Sweet :) I woulda drawn them up last night but I had a test to study for... not that I did, much :P (fortunately this is the third, we can drop one, and I did decently on the other two)
BTW, maybe you can help or point me at someone who might know... I'm trying to get some idea of vandalism/harassment laws to figure out what constitutes legal protest and informing the public, and what might get people in trouble and generally hinder the message. Any leads? Google is being... a bit "find a lawyer" oriented!!
