Uhhh, I don't remember where I was told this -- my panel at SPACE? my trip to the Ukraine, where social issues were talked of muchly? -- but someone stated that the gender ratio in the united states was 60% women to 40% men. Yeah, PETA is pretty bad. ...ugh. they are the darkest, most greasy stain on the name of "animal rights."

PETA are the 'Scientologists' of animal groups. ...they're in it for the money, really. And damn do they have a lot... It's really too bad that a lot of the people who keep PETA going with their activism do so because they are uninformed and think that PETA is doing what's right.

I'm strongly for 'animal rights' or something... and i have some pretty strong opinions... but the difference between me and PETA is that i'm not full of crap. Oh, ...and i'm poor. >.>

*shrug* while in fiction they're made out to be cute and romanticized, in real life I've experienced both ends; it usually boils down to "having ulterior motives". Person with crush gets upset with crushee for not doing what they really want, crushee can't reject person because person staunchly denies wanting what they'd be rejected for. No one can move on, everyone's pissed, and things get ugly. DX
