summer vacation

Two more hours of selling Harry Potter and then I'm off to Provincetown on a well deserved vacation. A week of reading on the beach, fried seafood and Portuguese pastries, and perhaps (but only if someone proves worthy of it, which is far from certain) a bit of making out. I feel more relaxed just thinking about it.

i miss it! I miss all the seafood, the whale watches, and the horrible rear views of pasty gay men in jean cut-offs.

JP--- we would have had a great time putting our minds together to problematize and critique the hell out of that moneyed haven of gay-assimiliationist white masculinity. I thought of you specifically when I visited the Human Rights Campaign giftshop and saw the gay rights tie-tacks. I thought of you again when I watched the drag queen emcee of karaoke night get down to the milkshake song. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, but every second of the trip was amazingly surreal.
