I dunno what's going on. One of my other friends just gave me the Catholic side of the whole "Catholic church doesn't teach straight from the Bible" story. Christianity is screwy like that... the sects are completely different from one another. It gets confusing, even to me when I explain stuff to my non-Christian friends. But reading the Bible helps a lot.
