But seriously, I think it says a lot about you that you are able to date this girl despite her political beliefs. It shows that both of you are open-minded and loving. Good for you guys! I honestly don't think I would be able to do that. But I'm kind of bitch, so you know.

Shudder to use this as an example, but Arnie and his wife are on opposite sides of the political fence and have been married for more than 20 years. And he married into the epitome of liberal families.

I'd like to be optimistic, since there are couples out there who have different political beliefs, but I personally could never be in a long term relationship with someone with completely different political beliefs as I. It just affects too much.
