I suppose I shouldn't have expected them to make it obvious within their 'help' page, but how do you go about leaving/deleting your Facebook?

If you go to account on the top right hand side, there is an option to deactivate.

I think the profile stays active, but you don't get anymore annoying e-mails asking you to throw elephants or suchlike...

I would also delete all info about yourself before doing it if I were you :o)

Thanks Geoff, I've done that now. And it's a good tip about removing details first. I'd never have thought of doing that.
