If you are Pay as you go, I think O2 are good. Hubbie gets 10% back the month after top up and as long as he put £10 or above he gets free texts for month and calls at weekends. Don't know many people with Orange sorry.
Nope, contract. I was on PAYG once but that was a long time ago.
I was with 02 before I joined T-Mobile, and they were good except for the fact that I was an 'online' customer which had it's own drawbacks - ie if something went wrong with my puter and/or their website I could not get to my bill, and they "couldn't" send me a paper one for love nor money. Plus whenever I tried to ring them, their phones knew I was an online customer so diverted me to or gave me another number which didn't seem to be answered that often
Now, see, I was on contract with Orange and they were crap. They kept putting stuff on my tariff that I hadn't asked for and then charged me for these unrequested changes. Like 15 picture messages, for example, they got two months payment out of me as I didn't know I had them, the first month then I had to pay out another month until they removed them again. They then started taking away my text messages - I started out with 90 a month which they then took down to 60 and refused to put them back, then they did it again and I was left with 30 messages a month and that was the final straw - I cancelled my contract the moment I could get away.
I am now with Virgin on PAYG who are no trouble and were a great help when I realised that my voicemail didn't work. Also, I can buy set bundles of minutes and texts every month and chop and change to whatever I require, all the perks of a contract without actually having one!
I'm on 02 PAYG and very happy with it but I used to be an Orange customer and was very happy but decided to go PAYG to save money. Andy is on Orange and gets lots of good free upgrades and lots of free minutes and texts which they some tmies bump up a bit for him if he whines. I get all his old phones. we're both happy. The only place I've known him to not get a signal was Cerne Abbas where the coverage is very poor for everyone.
