Fan fic, The witcher and some kind of weird combination of the two

So I've never written fan fic before. I''ve written about games that I'm in fromt he point of view of the character that I've created with the help of my ref (see previous entry). I've always felt that it was kind of rude.

Initially I was going to say that computer games make a great basis for fanfic, because they provide you with the basics of a world that you can play in but rarely will you interfere with the canon or turn real characters into dancing puppets, but then I continued reading and saw it was based on a book.

Hee hee.
I still stand by my theory.

It does somewhat make me squirm when people make well-loved characters act completely differently, but then I just remind myself that it's a different world, and these are not the same people.

Heya, just popping in to let you know I was doing a search for any fanfic written on the Witcher, and Google directed me to you.

I agree with the idea that 'playing' and 'meddling' with other characters borders on distasteful, (ugh, too many wimpy Haldir stories for my tastes) so I was pleasantly surprised that the first Witcher vignette I read was so nicely written.

I do hope you continue it, but it was fun.

Btw, sorry this is anon, I can't for the life of me remember my LJ password.. The username either on that note...
