I would say I'm a casual outdoorsy type. I've never really done anything as ambitious as a 19-mile hike, but I definitely must do the Sespe hot springs hike. I also have no idea how difficult 19 miles is, though! But I must find out!
I agree, I'm very serious about not being too serious about anything. :P
Thanks for the info, it is really helpful to know! If I can just get myself up early, it would be awesome to get to go out there in the morning. I'm a dysfunctional morning person that can't get up early.
Beautiful pictures. Do the trip! I've done a similar trip in Big Sur- about 20 mile round trip to a gorgeous hot springs in the redwoods. It's best if you have at least 3 days- two for the trips there and back, and one to just enjoy! The first time I did it it was most definately tough but so gorgeous and fantastic and worth it I didn't mind at all. I can't wait to go back again.
Thanks and I will! Hopefully in about 3-4 weeks because I'm going to be in San Diego for the next 2 weekends.
The Big Sur hiking trip sounds lovely-- I'd love to spend 3 days doing something like that. I think we have to pack the Sespe trip all into one day though, it'll be like Hike-Bathe-Hike. hehe.

You're a more serious outdoorsy type, aren't you?

Nineteen miles should take you the good part of the day. Certainly doable.
